Jewelry Designer Brings Her Nautical Aesthetic Into The Modern Age

This rope jewelry line has been on our radar for some time now, but we're always excited to see what twist she'll put on her nautical-chic aesthetic each season. Her newest collection relies heavily on lucite and introduces metal accents to complement her signature rope cording jewery. While the twisted, knotted cord necklaces, bracelets, and earrings remain, the introduction of lucite as a material takes the brand in a brand new, softly futuristic direction. The most lust-worthy piece is the Prism Quill Necklace, which has a sort of avant-garde porcupine feel (we mean that as a compliment!). Another one we've had our eye on is a square lucite bangle in beautiful, cloudy mauve and gray tones that bring a touch of sophistication to the decidedly modern shape and material. The collection overall evokes a fresh combination of man-made and natural elements, one that we can't wait to get our hands on. Be sure to check out the designer's trunk show where her latest pieces will be on display this Thursday, November 11th 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at one of our favorite boutiques, Creatures of Comfort.
Creatures of Comfort, 205 Mulberry Street (between Spring and Kenmare streets); 212-925-1005.
