5 Valentine’s Day Outfits For Lazy Girls Only

Caving in to one's lazy-girl tendencies (sweats, sneakers, etc) isn't the same as giving up, in our humble fashion perspective. Maybe you're simply practical — favoring high-tops over four-inch pumps and sweatshirts over body-con dresses. If we're judging: Anyone who picks casual pieces for a Valentine's Day outing might just have the right idea. While there are plenty of traditional outfits to don for the holiday, dressing is ultimately about what makes you feel good — fanciness be damned. We're showcasing five outfits that are every bit as chic as they are comfortable.  The Matching (Sweats) Set
A far cry from the velour tracksuits of our youth, the matching sweats set is both polished and cozy (leave it to Zara to make the impossible possible). This dolman-sleeved sweater and culotte pant offer a forward-looking silhouette; the accessories — a strappy kitten heel and metallic crossbody — put on the finishing touches.

The Sweatshirt Dress
While Ostwald Helgason's sweatshirt dress has obvious throw-on appeal, this lime-green, silk-satin skirt lends the casual-feeling piece a sophistication that will work for dressier occasions, too. We styled it here with sneakers and a baseball cap, for a low-key February 14 ($1 pizza slices and a movie, perhaps?). But, you can easily swap in heels for a fancier vibe.
The Drawstring Pant
Being comfortable in your clothes is half the battle, which is why we're not discounting drawstring pants for this Saturday. A sleek, leather jacket and graphic peplum top will amp up your casual bottoms for a night out. Meanwhile, heels and a furry clutch will all but seal the deal on a goodnight kiss — if that's what you're after, that is.
The Fashion Sneaker
A decade ago, you might have worn sneakers ironically for a night on the town. Today — at least in New York City — Saturday-night sneaks are as commonplace as pumps. We're calling this a win for lazy girls (and sore arches) everywhere. To complement the Isabel Marant style below, try a maxi-dress (this one's a knit!), pastel bomber, and playfully printed shoulder bag.
The Graphic Sweatshirt
Here, we contrasted the sporty vibes of Zoe Karssen's graphic sweatshirt with the femme-fatale feel of Dion Lee's sexy, sheer-mesh pencil skirt. While the pieces might normally feel like too much grouped together, a shared color palette keeps the look understated. Teamed with silver add-ons, the completed outfit is all, "Saturday night, I'm coming for you."
