Curly Styles That Kick Humidity To The Curb

Any day now, it's going to get real humid again. And, that means one thing for our curls: They will not be tamed. But, why should they be? We're big fans of working with our curls — not against them — and the warmer months are the best time to do just that. So, in that spirit, the second edition of our spring-hair DIY series is all about curly tresses. (If your hair is a different texture, worry not. We'll be rolling out how-tos throughout the month for every type of lock.)
We called in hairstylist Sara Jane Lynch of Whittemore House Salon to help us devise gorgeous, simple ways to do our hair that incorporate our curls in all their glory. With the addition of a clever tucked style and a rad new use for hair accessories, consider our repertoire officially expanded — fitting for a season that's all about rebirth, no?
Even better, if you love the looks ahead but don't have curls, you can definitely fake them with a curling iron and a little bit of patience. After all, no one should have to miss out on 'dos this good.
