Chan Luu Designs Exclusive (And Really Expensive) Friendship Bracelets For Banana Republic

Tapping in on the huge friendship bracelet craze that's crawling up the wrists of girls everywhere, Banana Republic has brought on jewelry designer Chan Luu to create an exclusive 17-piece line of leather and string bracelets for their accessories-only concept store in San Francisco. Priced at $95-$225, the line is actually significantly cheaper than Luu's own creations (hers can be as pricey as $500), but considering you can find similar designs for pennies in Chinatown, we're not sure what the appeal exactly is. Kate Hudson, Lady Gaga, and Jennifer Lopez has been seen wearing them (we also hear that they're very popular with the kids!), but mustering up the energy to give two hoots about these overpriced bracelets is giving us a brainache.
