This Lookbook Gives Us Angela Chase At Work (And We LOVE It!)

Even though we've had a major label-crush on Caron Callahan since she was just a newbie on the Brooklyn design scene, her fall '12 lookbook is giving us unexpected and major styling inspo and proves she has just the staying power we predicted. In addition to contributing to our love for the budding designer, the lookbook introduces us to a different kind of girl from the last time we saw Callahan's duds. The new CC chick is equal parts innocent and badass. She wears black faux-leather camisoles and pageboy caps — in other words, she's a little bit '90s and a little bit rock for a combination that's literally cool and collected. Her looks range from loose long-sleeved midi dresses à la Angela Chase to laid-back equestrian staples. The mostly monochromatic collection toes the line between chill hang-out and and a dressy affair, making modest ensembles like a matching wine-colored pleated top and skirt intelligently sexy paired with a simple chignon and black patent loafers. Slipping into any combo of these separates is a great way to head to work—and still stay conscious of workin' it.
