Blondes Do It Better — A Golden Girl’s Amazing Ombré Transformation

Brunettes have been all over the ombré trend for seasons — and we think it's high time blondes get onboard. The look isn't quite as dramatic on golden girls as it is on the Alexa Chungs of the world — but it's just as effortlessly cool and sexy. For blondes, ombré is a great, low-maintenance way to do beachy highlights that won't make you look like a fussy, Bergdorf blonde.
Inspired by Whitney Port's sun-kissed waves, we hit up our favorite flaxen-haired babe: Liz Hull, of R29 daily read Olive, My Love. Hull wanted to add a little drama to her honey hair — and since she's a DIY girl at heart, she tried her hand at creating the look. Armed with L'Oréal Feria's Wild Ombré, the first at-home ombré system to hit the States, Hull added a sweet, subtle fade to her 'do that's very Whitney — and is perfect for all those long, summer days to come.
Check out Hull's stunning transformation ahead — get ready to be inspired, blondies!
