Walking into Focus Studio for the Trovata show was a bit like walking into Chuck Bass' bedroom lair, or one of Blair's elaborate seduction scenes. The room and runway space was lit entirely by candles, and smelled heavenly, too. Given all the rumors about Ed Westwick showing up to the after party, we were kind of hoping he'd also make an appearance front row. Alas, he did not, but we're pretty sure he would've loved the clothes. Though most of the pieces had a English prep school feel, the inspiration was actually '60s Paris. On the men's side were items culled straight from Chuck's wardrobe, including casual but preppy three-pieces suits finished with Edwardian-style lace-up boots. Little schoolgirl skirts, caps, floaty bowed blouses and princess coats for women were all finished off with ribbon accents, whether it was bowed in the back or tied suggestively around the thigh. Definitely a trick we'll be trying with our thigh-highs come fall. The after party at Anchor Bar was also sadly Bass-less, but we hiked up our hemlines and got down on the dance floor any way.
