Getting feedback from all of our lovely readers is one of my favorite parts of LaurenConrad.com, and I recently received a message requesting a post on hairbrushes. So, I did a little research (hi, Lauren Conrad Beauty !) and put together a comprehensive guide to brushes and combs. The list is long, but that’s not to say that you need every type in your beauty arsenal.

With makeup brushes, it's good to have at least 10 basic brushes. But, with hairbrushes, you probably only need two or three — tops. Choosing the right hairbrush has everything to do with your tress type and how you style them. The curly-haired girl is not going to need a paddle brush most of the time, and if you have a pixie cut, a detangling comb probably won't do you much good.
