We're getting mighty sick of all this sheer, lightweight coverage nonsense. Sure, it's great when your skin already looks beautiful and you just want to add that final touch of porcelain perfection (you overachiever, you). Sometimes, though, we just need to create a new face on our faces — a blank slate, a fresh palette, whatever you want to call it. To us, the point of a good foundation is to provide what our skin cannot. Anything else feels like a waste of time (and money).
