Rachel Zoe is a stylist at heart, but the wonder woman has flipped her career from simply prepping starlets for the red carpet to a mini empire with a television show, clothing line, website, and salon. Despite the canceling of her show The Rachel Zoe Project, this entrepreneur shows no sign of letting up. Her salon, Dream Dry, co-founded with former Creative Artists Agency executive Robin Moraetes, is set to open a second NYC location this Friday, September 6.
Clearly, these two Jack-of-all-trades keep a hectic schedule, but they stay chic year-round by adjusting their beauty routine. Whether it’s summer or fall, East Coast or West, the two spill a few of their beauty secrets on how to stay glam despite what Mother Nature may have in store. Ahead, find out which products flawlessly take these glamazons' skin and tresses into fall.
Rachel Zoe:"For fall, the first thing I always do is trade my nude lip and nail color to a deep Bordeaux wine, like Tom Ford's Black Orchid — my favorite shade of the season.
"Then, as my tan fades, I use a richer blush color as well and add a little contour and highlight to brighten my skin. I also ditch my tousled beach hair for a sleek and polished look."
Robin Moraetes: "I make the switch from Kérastase Chroma Captive to a more intense conditioner, like Oribe Signature Moisture Masque. It takes care of all the ocean and sun damage from summer and preps my hair for the drier, colder weather to come. As for my makeup, in the summer I only use Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer, but as fall arrives, I blend Smashbox’s primer and Armani’s Luminous Silk foundation together. But, my absolute fall/winter addiction is Lancome Absolue L'Extrait. I use this every night and — voilà! — moisture galore. It's a little pricey, but worth every penny." But, the one product that never changes despite the season? "My sunscreen!"
