Alexander Wang Gave Balenciaga’s E-Comm A Makeover

Not even a month after Paris Fashion Week, Balenciaga is already giving us more new things to ogle over. The brand unveiled a fancy new website that extends far beyond virtual window shopping. While the e-commerce component is still alive and well, the relaunch amps up the shopping experience with some cool interactive features that bring the luxury brand closer to home.
The new and improved Balenciaga.com is "the brand’s most visible global flagship," according to CEO Isabelle Guichot. Balenciaga has been steadily moving towards the edgier under the helm of Alexander Wang, but the new site honors its origins in Cristóbal Balenciaga's vision by presenting both designers' profiles side-by-side under a section titled "La Maison." So, aside from being your one-stop shop for all your Ceinture Ankle Boot and Classic City Tote needs, you also get a complimentary dose of fashion history.
This redesign is a big move for Balenciaga's digital presence. But, one of the site's most innovative feature is tied to the brand's brick-and-mortar shops. Now, you'll be able to schedule appointments online for select Balenciaga boutiques in the U.S., even reserving items to try on during in-person visits. This feature is available for L.A., Dallas, Miami, Las Vegas, Costa Clara, Honolulu, and Santa Clara locations right now, but will soon roll out in New York. In the meantime, see the items we're adding to our dream shopping cart. They'll have you dreaming sweet, Balenciaga dreams.
