We love when fashion collides with other cultural forces: music, dance, photography, you name it. But aside from a few fancy-pants cupcakes, we didn't really expect food and couture to mingle anytime soon. Turns out, we were wrong.
Leave it to local blogger and baker extraordinaire Apollinas to literally knock our socks off with a four-layer cake inspired by a Valentino red dress — which means it's enrobed in an insanely rich shade of crimson ganache and bedecked with bows. The frock has been sported by the likes of Alexa Chung and Rachel Weisz, but we have to say that it looks every bit as enticing in an edible format. (Apollinas)
