A New Melrose Java Spot, Complete With Rag & Bone-Clad Baristas

In L.A., there are famous neighborhoods, beaches, hotels — and even famous streets. Ventura Boulevard was immortalized in a Tom Petty song, while Melrose Place, the three-block drag we’re
turning the spotlight on today, played host to its very own TV show. The byway already boasts
the best boutiques and an uber-posh restaurant, but it recently added a new joint to its ultra-chic
repertoire: Alfred Coffee & Kitchen.

Housed in a residence turned ballroom-dance facility built in 1925, the new java spot is now serving up Stumptown coffee and delectable pastries — meaning it will quickly become the perfect place for quick pick-me-ups between credit-card swipes. Plus, you know it’s a stylish spot when baristas are outfitted in Rag & Bone uniforms! Who could resist such a fab combo of fashion and coffee? We clearly can't (see our ode to buzzy spots here), which is why we'll meet you at the communal table, latte and Isabel Marant shopping bags in hand.
Alfred Coffee & Kitchen, 8428 Melrose Place (near North Croft Avenue); 323-944-0811.
