These Aren't Your Typical Alexander McQueen Scarves

Ever since Savage Beauty landed in London earlier this month, we've seen some of the best and brightest pay tribute to Alexander McQueen and his work. The exhibit, now officially open at the Victoria and Albert Museum, has drawn its fair share of seriously stylish locals. But, you don't have to book a trip to the U.K. to bow down at the curated altar of McQueen. The fashion house is commemorating the late designer in its own way (without the travel expenses) — by issuing five limited-run scarves depicting some of the most iconic McQueen runway moments.

For those of us who have trouble figuring out how to work rainbow feathers or extravagant tulle skirts into our daily outfits, Alexander McQueen's signature skull scarves allowed us an easy and decidedly low-key way to celebrate the fashion house in our wardrobe. Now, the Savage Beauty capsule pulls over-the-top designs straight from the runway and prints them on 100% silk, so you can wear a McQueen original right on your neck. Images include the spray-painted final look from spring '99, the punky tartan that prevailed in fall '06, and the impossibly intimidating armadillo shoes from spring '10.

These scarves are truly limited-edition: Alexander McQueen is only printing 100 of each design, retailing them for $595 a pop online and at the brand's 4-5 Old Bond Street outpost in London. Click through to unveil the five silk scarves and experience that McQueen magic for yourself.
