In just a few weeks The Fashion Group International will be hosting its 15th Annual Rising Star Awards event. And guess who’s included in the mix? Our very own Adriana Castro.
But this isn’t the Colombian-born designer’s first international nod. This is her third straight year as a nominee, and recently, she had the honor of opening the third-ever Bogota International Fashion Week.
Castro’s accessories and handbags, made of exotic animal skins (crocodile, viper snake, python, and ostrich), have not only gained her recognition in the industry, but also by the likes of Heidi Klum, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kim Kardashian. Her bags were even picked by Patricia Field for Sex and the City 2. She may be rising to the outsiders, but to Miami Castro she's clearly already a star.
