A Gallery Of NYC’s Best Dressed Murderers

These dapper dudes and swell dames are groomed to the hilt and look like they're about ready to go on a date. But they're not dressed to impress. They're dressed...to kill. It seems like these notorious New Yorkers don't just share the same address, they also have the same proclivity for murder and criminal activities. Manhattan User's Guide's collection of early 20th century murderers in New York have us intrigued, and rightly so. Take Arthur Waite, aka "The Playboy Dentist." We're fascinated by his crime of in-law poisoning (haven't we all entertained the thought?), but also by his mug: he looks uncannily like a cross between Val Kilmer and Russell Crowe. And we got goosebumps looking at Gordon Hamb—he could easily pass off as Stephen Baldwin. "Pretty" Levine doesn't look like anyone we know, but can't you can picture him inserted in between similarly hunky models in a Polo Ralph Lauren group ad?
