If you haven't heard about Thought You Knew, pay attention. TYK started as a way to address modern stereotypes about women and sexuality, and the resulting calendar features women in Chicago who chose biking as their primary mode of transportation. Each month features a different retro-sexual pinup shot, and challenges everything you thought you knew about the models. These ladies are posing with purpose, too—all proceeds from calendar sales benefit the Chicago Women's Health Center. Don't think the boys miss out on the action. TYK also produces a calendar featuring men, but this one is totally themed-out with '80s television heroes. The calendars make a great gift, and with Valentine's Day rapidly approaching, hint hint, you might want snag one via the TYK site. Or better yet, tweet this story @refinery29. Four lucky tweeters will win the calendar of their choice!
