When it comes to the balance between work (out) and play, this week's events are in perfect harmony. From the kick-off of a poppin' music fest to a crazy-fun cycling class for first-timers, get ready for a jam-packed week — party on!
Fiat Lux Trunk Show
Because new jewelry never goes out of style, Fiat Lux will be hosting some of its favorite bauble designers for a special trunk show. The whole gang will be in attendance including Digby & Iona, Elizabeth Street, Nick Potash, Mother of Gideon, and Daisy San Luis. It seems too good to be true that all these designers will be crossing the country (and the city) to join in, but they are here for a very special announcement. Remember the Fiat Lux contest we posted? Well, the winner will be accepting a very generous gift on that very night. Could it be you?
When: Friday, February 21, 7 p.m. until late.
Where: Fiat Lux, 218 Church Street (between Market and 15th streets); 415-312-8413.
Pop Physique & Blake Brody In-Studio Footwear Trunk Show
Speaking for women everywhere: We love shoes — all kinds of 'em. This means that designer footwear of the workout variety by Blake Brody is just as much on our wishlist as any other. The sneaks are not only stylish, but also come with silicone grip detailing, making your Pilates and Barre workout just that much easier — and so does the 25% off discount. Stop by the trunk show and pick out a pair.
When: Tuesday, February 25, 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Pop Physique, 2424 Polk Street (between Union and Filbert streets); 415-776-4678.
SoulCycle 101
Calling all SoulCycle virgins — prepare to get addicted! This three-part class series is for the beginners who have yet to spin some tires in one of its spin studios. The classes, going down at its Marin locale, will include a triple, one-hour-each intro class with extra attention paid to the basics of the spin art. Book yourself a spot, and be prepared to bring on the sweat.
When: Saturday, February 22, 2 p.m.
Where: SoulCycle, 1601 Larkspur Landing Circle (between Old Quarry Road and Lincoln Village Circle), Marin; 415-285-7685.

The evening will feature the world debut of Punk Rock Fancy, and DJ sets by Bob Mould and Shepard Fairey, plus a special guest that will be revealed the night of. Can't swing Tuesday's party? Don't fret, Wednesday will bring the viewing of the film Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton. This will include a Q&A with director Jeff Broadway and Stones Throw's Peanut Butter Wolf, along with a live show. If that doesn't shake your midweek eves up, we don't know what will!
