Urban Outfitters Launches Activewear, Uses S.F. As Playground

We’ll be honest — our ratty gym clothes are giving us the workout blues. And surprisingly, unless you’re down to always reach for those tried-and-true yoga pants, it’s a lot harder to find cool activewear than you’d think.
With that in mind, Urban Outfitters is here to make fitness-and-fashion loving folks (read: us) happy with its latest endeavor, Without Walls. Dedicated to gals who indulge in surfing, hiking, camping, cycling, and all other outdoorsy things, Without Walls will tout its own brand of cool gear for both sexes (think galaxy-print leggings and kitschy sea otter T-shirts), and host an impressive roster of the savviest active brands out there — Poler, Vans, Patagonia — basically all the brands that have a special spot in San Franciscans' closet. "We wanted to blend fashion and function in a way that allows customers to express their individuality inside all of their life adventures," Urban Outfitters told us. "We are excited to present a line of products that is fun and spirited for folks who don’t want to sacrifice personal style while on the go!"
Without Walls launches in select UO stores and online March 1, but we got a sneak peek of the lookbook, which uses our stunning home turf as the backdrop (represent!), right here. Yep, we’re planning our next outdoorsy adventure, pronto.
