It's Valentine's Day — as if anyone could forget, right? Don't get us wrong, it's not that we're against love. It's just that whether we've been with our S.O. for five weeks or five years, we're not inclined to go the route of flowers and chocolate to show our affection. Following someone else's road map to romance just feels stale. And, these days, we're starting to feel like if we see another pink heart, we'll scream.
Tonight, we're more inclined to go make our own memories than sit through a rom com, and we would rather just have pizza and wine at home afterwards than blow half of our paycheck on tiny, candlelit plates. So, clearly, we're going to need some amazing new makeup looks to match our feelings: We want to look great not because of Valentine's Day, but in spite of it.
We asked makeup artist James Vincent to help us come up with edgy bad-girl makeup that's perfect for our off-the-beaten-path V-Day agenda. What he created? It looks gorgeous enough to make any plans exciting, and there's not a cartoon heart in sight.
