L.A.'s 6 Best Crisis-Solving Hair Salons

Step away from the scissors, toss that box of bleach, and don't even think about trimming those bangs! When it comes to wacky hair, we've all had a situation or two in our lives. But, hey, the first step is admitting you have a problem, right? The next step? Well, depending on the nature of the hair-tastrophe, it's heading to one of these six L.A. salons that collectively solve just about any issue. All that's left for you to do is make the appointment, and before you know it, you'll be named Best Tressed!

The Answer: Meche Salon, without question. For color, see Heather Cie Shehorn or Michelle Pugh — both of who were trained directly by Tracey Cunningham (she calls them her "clones"). For a fresh cut, go to Jasmin Robles (and make sure she gives you one of her incredible blowouts).
Location: Meche Salon, 8820 Burton Way, Beverly Hills, 310-278-8930.

The Situation: You've got a black-tie event this weekend and you want your hair in a fancy updo (like the one you found on Pinterest and tried to copy...but, sadly, failed).
The Answer: Assembly Salon, L.A.'s first braid and ponytail bar! The best part? You can get something pretty intricate for $45. Plus, they've got makeup artists and manicurists on hand, in case you need the full red-carpet treatment.
Location: Assembly Salon, 250 South Robertson Boulevard, Beverly Hills, 424-278-1567.

The Situation: You took a risk (good for you!) and changed your hair color. The only problem? It didn't turn out anything like you wanted.
The Answer: Kazumi Morton at Jonathan & George (formerly Neil George). When it comes to a botched dye job, Kazumi is a total lifesaver. Whether blonde, brunette, straight, or curly, the expert colorist knows exactly what your tresses need to achieve that ideal color you dream of. Oh, and did we mention Kristen Stewart is one of her clients? Yep.
Location: Jonathan & George, 9320 Civic Center Drive, Beverly Hills, 310-275-2808.

The Answer: For some quick, budget-friendly hydration, Shampoo on 3rd is the best. The Deep Conditioner treatment costs $35, and you'll walk out with silky locks (and only a faint memory of that tough, tangled hair).
Location: Shampoo on 3rd, 8012 West 3rd Street, Los Angeles, 323-653-2274.

The Situation: Your bangs need a major trim, and you've learned your lesson to not cut them yourself.
The Answer: The Bang Station at The Private Room, which boasts an entire menu of ways to trim your fringe, including "The Flirt" (a Cameron Diaz inspired side-swept bang) and "The Cleopatra" (a fuller cropped bang, a la Rose Byrne).
Location: The Bang Station at The Private Room, 9414 Brighton Way, Beverly Hills, 310-247-2228.

The Situation: You asked for "natural highlights" and ended up with a streaky, '80s mess.
The Answer: Negin Zand at Salon Benjamin knows exactly how to tone out the brassy stripes and give you that perfect beachy, just-got-back-from-two-weeks-in-Tahiti hue.
Location: Salon Benjamin, 8910 Melrose Avenue, West Hollywood, 424-249-3296.
