S.F. Buzz: A Tome-Inspired Bar, Inside Clif Bar HQ, & More

While this week was one of those blink-and-it’s-over kind of weeks (thank you, three-day weekends), there was no shortage of mentionable events. So, before you take a mental respite for the next two days, we’ve rounded up our top S.F. moments — by the time Monday rolls around, you’ll be completely clued in for the water cooler chatter. Read up, friends!
We’ll jump at any chance to escape to Big Sur — and apparently The Cut feels the same way and has rounded up an arsenal of must-pack items. That is, if you consider a Proenza Schouler tank dress a necessity for wilderness escapades! (The Cut)
We won’t lie, we were pretty elated when we found out that Bay Area rapper E-40 was producing a wine, and now it’s official (dreams do come true!). Earl Stevens Selections, which is comprised of a moscato and a red blend, is expected to launch soon. (NBC Bay Area)
By now you may have caught word of the new Apple store moving into the Levi’s Union Square space, but don’t hold your breath just yet. Locals are enraged over the absence of the famed bronze fountain in front of the new venue in the architectural renderings. We’ll just have to wait and see how this unfolds! (S.F. Chronicle)
Bookish types, listen up! If you’re looking for a new boozy joint while being submerged in world of colorful literature, head to Novela. The new spot in SoMa just opened its doors this week, and Eater has rounded up a collection of eye-catching images of the novel space. (Eater SF)
We’ve always wondered what the Emeryville-based Clif Bar HQ looked like — well, we wonder no more! 7x7 has toured the outdoorsy space, complete with a rock climbing gym. Jealousy ensues! (7x7)
