Even if you can't quite pinpoint Cannes on a map or much rather wait to see films when they release on On Demand, we're sure you know about the massive film festival taking place around the French Riviera right now. And this year, the Cannes Film Festival is not only welcoming the golden boys and girls of the screen but fashion's elite, too.
Curated by Carine Roitfeld, in partnership with LoveGold, the Ultimate Gold Collection Fashion Show will take place at Cannes this coming Thursday during the annual amfAR benefit. And while it seems that everything Roitfeld touches turns to gold, she's not in it alone. The show will be featuring familiar (and some CFDA-award-winning) designers and brands such as Eddie Borgo, Pamela Love, House of Waris, and Bulgari, which have also created custom pieces that will be presented on the runway Thursday night, and then later sold via LoveGold.com. Plus, of course, Roitfeld will have her beautiful friends presenting the precious baubles, including Isabeli Fontana, Alessandra Ambrosio, Karlie Kloss, and Joan Smalls.
Even if you don't have plans to head to France, say, tomorrow, you do have an opportunity to be a part of the fashion-royalty event from afar when the show streams live on LoveGold at 3 p.m. this coming Thursday, May 23. And, before you set a calendar reminder, we were able to snag just a few of the behind-the-scene snaps of Cannes' upcoming debut (not the movie kind) and the gorgeous gold pieces that you can pick up once the lights go down on the runway. Take a peek ahead at what may be Cannes' greatest film-meets-fashion event this year.
