Oliver Peoples' Newest Frames Were Inspired By Madonna's Material Girl Specs

Even if you don't have the voice, the platinum blonde hair, and the Bay City-bred swagger to pull off a first-name-only moniker, injecting a little Madonna into your life is always a good idea, especially when it comes in the form of a pretty pair of sunglasses from Oliver People's. In an exclusive sale on mytheresa.com, the M-4 specs celebrate a big milestone for Oliver Peoples while paying homage to one the most iconic superstars in history.

Said mytheresa.com's buying director Justin O'Shea, “With Oliver Peoples celebrating its 25th anniversary, we wanted to collaborate on something very iconic. Looking through the archives, we were inspired by an image of Madonna wearing their round frames circa The Material Girl Tour, 1987.”

With a face-flattering, rounded frame and a thin, wire nose bridge, these glasses aren't your costume-y, rose-tinted circle frames — wear them with your leather and lace (like Madonna did), or we think they'd look awfully fun with a boxy, printed top and summer cutoffs. The two M-4 sunglasses will retail for $470 and be exclusively available on mytheresa.com starting February 27.
