Of Course Karl Lagerfeld's Chanel Metiers d'Art Show Took Place In A Castle

Where Karl Lagerfeld goes, the fashion world follows. And his most recent excursion took him across the Atlantic Ocean to Linlithgow Palace in Scotland. The birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots, set the stage for Chanel’s annual Metiers d’Art Show.
And what a show it was! In addition to continuing the tradition of showcasing an aspect of Chanel’s specialist craftsmanship, this year’s show paid homage to Coco’s connection to the country by emphasizing Scottish textiles and tartan prints, thick and chunky sweaters, high, lace collars, and layers upon layers of tweed, argyle, ruffles, and more. The models strolled the wooden runway in an atmosphere of rustic romance and cozy elegance.
Perhaps one of the most precious sights was the return of Lagerfeld’s godson to the catwalk. Four-year-old Hudson Kroenig walked in his third Chanel show, holding the hand of his father, model Brad Kroenig. No doubt audience members were pulling their phones out from under their Chanel souvenir blankets to snap a quick pic of the duo.
