District Sample Sale Is Back, & You Can (& Should) Score Your Tix Today

It's baaaaaaack! Tickets for the fall '12 District Sample Sale went on sale this morning, and if you haven't scooped yours yet, you'll probably want to get clicking. For ladies who love an assortment of designer labels, the DSS provides the chance to shop end-of-season and current merchandise from some of the city's best boutiques at a serious discount (we're talking liquidation-style pricing, here). More than 20 clothing and shoe stores are participating this year, including Emily Grace, Ginger, Julia Farr, and Style Etoile, to name a few.
If you don't love the high-pressure element of sample sales (although the DSS is fairly tame in terms of the push-and-shove factor), relax: There's also a raffle, silent auction, and swanky goodie bag, plus plenty of cocktails and tasty bites. And don't forget the feel-good factor: 100% of the profits from DSS ticket sales are donated to a new charity each season, along with legacy charities from past sample sales. So, go ahead and boost your cardio routine so you can make sure you're ready for some fast-paced retail therapy.
When: Tuesday, September 11. VIP hour from 5:30 to 6:30; general admission from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tickets range from $40 to $250 and are on sale today.
Where: Mazza Gallerie, 5300 Wisconsin Avenue NW (former Filene's Basement space); no phone.
