Hollywood Wants Gun Control — For Everyone But Them
We are accustomed to arguing the import of responsible representation elsewhere. We righteously and correctly decry the insidious objectification of women on screen, and the hateful erasure of queer characters and performers of color, under the simple, unassailable argument that representation matters. Except when we’re talking about guns — in that conversation, representation means nothing. It’s “just a movie.” Let’s not “politicize” it.
