Kim Kardashian spends more for one night in a hotel than most people pay in rent every year. A stay at the Royal Bridge Suite at the Atlantis hotel on the island of The Palm, Dubai costs a whopping $30,000.
Once you see the 3,000 square foot interior, shown in a video from the Travel Channel's Josh Gates: After Dark, you'll immediately get why it costs such a fortune. It looks less like a room and more like a giant hotel lobby with golden furniture, elaborate flowers painted on the ceiling, a table that appears to seat at least a dozen, and whole spa in the bathroom. There's even 14-karat gold in the soap.

With all those accommodations, you'd never need to leave the room — but if you did, you'd find a waterpark and an aquarium you can dive and snorkel through, according to Atlantis's website. Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards are also fans of the resort.
The surroundings are equally fantastical. The island — dubbed Palm Jumeirah because of its palm tree shape — is completely man-made. "It is the largest artificial island on the planet," Gates says in the video.
If you're looking to stay in the resort, though, you might also want to consider its underwater suites, which are three stories each and provide views of marine life through the windows. Those go for around $6,000 a night, which sounds cheap in comparison to the Royal Bridge Suite but exorbitant in comparison to pretty much anything else. Its least expensive rooms go for about $500, according to Booking.com.
Fortunately, mere mortals headed to Dubai have more affordable options. The XVA Art House, which doubles as an art gallery and looks like a work of art itself, can get as low as around $150/night.
None of that, of course, will stop us from dreaming of golden soap.
