Lady Gaga PTSD Rape Survivor Piers Morgan Interview

Three years ago, Madonna opened up about being raped at gunpoint on a building roof in New York City. Last week, Lady Gaga revealed that she suffers from PTSD after being raped at 19. And this weekend, renowned women's advocate and self-anointed PTSD and sexual assault expert Piers Morgan took it upon himself to accuse both women of fabricating their stories for self-promotion — calling PTSD "the latest celebrity accessory." "I come from a big military family. It angers me when celebrities start claiming 'PTSD' about everything to promote themselves," the Brit tweeted. "I would treat everything either of them says with a pinch of PR salt." He continued, "I wouldn't automatically believe anything either Madonna or Lady Gaga claimed about their lives," he went on, adding he remains "skeptical" that they were indeed raped.

If you're stunned into silence by that offensive barrage of ignorance, I don't blame you. But Lady Gaga sure isn't staying quiet. On Tuesday morning, survivors' advocate and all-around badass Gaga took up the issue publicly by tweeting at Morgan — and setting up an interview with the shameless misogynist himself. "I've work w/ our VP Joe Biden on helping educate people about why women don't report, would love to share it w/ you some time," Gaga tweeted. She went on, addressing his insinuation that PTSD is only diagnosed in people in the military. "[Would] also love to talk with you about PTSD, that it's not just a 'military' disorder. There is a mental health youth epidemic."

Their entire conversation is below, and I encourage you to read the fiery exchange. Ultimately, Morgan accepted Gaga's challenge to have a conversation about the issues. "OK, you're on.
Let's do an interview about this & you can tell me why I'm wrong to be sceptical," he tweeted, before asking Gaga if she was sure she could "handle" him. Something tells me that Gaga is going to do more than handle Morgan. I just can't decide if "educate" or "eviscerate" is the more apt descriptor of what Gaga has in store for the man.
