There's an unwritten rule when it comes to Kim Kardashian: You either love or loathe her. Even those who claim they couldn't care less about Kanye West's leading lady have an opinion. Kardashian has been featured in numerous magazines and, similar to Miley Cyrus, her appearances are known to elicit a range of reactions. Now Sinéad O'Connor has weighed in. The singer took to Facebook today to share her disgust with Rolling Stone's July issue. "What is this cunt doing on the cover of Rolling stone? Music has officially died," she wrote. "Who knew it would be Rolling Stone that murdered it? Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh can no longer be expected to take all the blame. Bob Dylan must be fucking horrified. #BoycottRollingStone" While O'Connor is clearly no fan of Kardashian, it seems the bulk of her disappointment is with Rolling Stone. For decades the magazine had been a beacon for musicians, music lovers, and connoisseurs alike. Filled with album reviews, artist profiles, and the latest on what's happening in the industry, Rolling Stone has been the go-to music publication. However, at some point the covers changed. They became less about musicians and more about who's popular in Hollywood. Unfortunately, when it comes to the women on that list, that means who's hot. If you take a look at many of the more modern Rolling Stone covers featuring women they're often practically topless. Perhaps O’Connor’s disapproval should also be more about how the publication consistently objectifies women?
