As if you weren’t excited enough for Harper Lee’s second novel, Go Set A Watchman, there’s even more to be pumped about: You can get a sneak peek four days early! The Wall Street Journal will be publishing the first chapter of the highly anticipated novel this Friday, July 10, before it officially hits the shelves on July 14. There will even be an audio version of the sample chapter, narrated by the lovely Reese Witherspoon. Let her Oscar-winning voice take you through the first bit of the book because, why not? The release comes 55 years after the publication of To Kill A Mockingbird , but it was discovered to have actually been written before the iconic novel we've grown up with. Watchman continues the story 20 years later as an adult Scout returns to visit her father Atticus Finch in her childhood home. People clearly can't wait to get their hands on the sequel, with pre-orders on high-demand. Well, hopefully this WSJ sneak preview will help you get through the wait.
