This American Girl Doll Movie Is Too Good To Be True

For two minutes, Funny Or Die just made our childhood dreams come true. The comedy site created a fake preview of an American Girl doll live-action film that will leave you asking for the real thing. That's right, your '90s BFFS are back. Furthermore, Kirsten, Molly, Samantha, Addy and Kit are more fierce than ever. They've got weapons, battle skills, strategies and humor to back it all up. Veep's Anna Chlumsky plays Kirsten, while Greek's Amber Stevens takes on Addy. "Ladies, we have been brought here from every American era, somehow defying the laws of space and time, and I think you know why," Kirsten says. It's Samantha's birthday, of course. And, while the focus is on them conquering the world, or fighting like "American girls," they wouldn't be the same without some quality bonding time. The lovable ladies talk about important things, like being made to eat turnips during a sleepover. Equal parts sweet and sassy, this video will have you rummaging through your storage bins, reflecting on the good times you had with your preferred doll. Funny Or Die's film, comes on the heels of AGsmiless, an American Girl doll live-action video series on YouTube. It differs a bit in content — the dolls are positioned as puppets — but it should give you your AGD fix, for now. Or you can also watch the contemporary AGD films. Now, it's only a matter of time before the ladies hit the big screen. Take a look at the hilarious video below.
