WNBA stars Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson tied the knot in an intimate ceremony earlier this week. According to People magazine, the couple, both 24, said "I do" in front of 75 guests on a gorgeous Arizona mountaintop.
The pair wed at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort in Phoenix. Griner plays center for city's WNBA team, the Phoenix Mercury.
The duo chose a "desert elegance" theme which included white hydrangeas, coral-colored roses and peach hypericum berries. They had their first dance to "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran.
Johnson, a forward with the Tulsa Shock, donned a strapless dress by designer Matthew Christopher. She selected the gown on a recent episode of TLC's Say Yes to the Dress.
Unfortunately, the couple recently made headlines after being arrested for assault and disorderly conduct following a fight at their Goodyear, Arizona home. Griner's charges will be dropped after she completes domestic violence counseling, while Johnson voluntarily entered treatment.
"It is never OK for an argument to turn physical. This will never happen again, and I take my relationship and my responsibility as a role model seriously," Griner said in a statement released by her attorney. "I am committed to making positive changes and I plan to use what I have learned to set a good example and help make a difference in the world around me."
