Rebel Wilson rocked a great superhero dress on the MTV Movie
Awards red carpet last night, but her devilishly fun onstage outfit had a
deeper message. The Pitch Perfect
star strutted onstage wearing fluffy white wings that weighed at least 20
pounds, a jewel-encrusted bra, and leather pants emblazoned with the word
"THINK" on the bum, then admitted she was hungover and apologized for flashing her "girl power" to the prez in Pitch Perfect 2.
Cheeky jokes aside, Wilson talked about why she wore such an
uncomfortable outfit onstage later in the press room.
"The Bella girls are all different shape and sizes
and nationalities. I think one of the good messages in the movie is that you're
all beautiful. I think sometimes girls look at Victoria's Secret models and
think that they have to model themselves after that, but I really don't think
that's the best. Even though they are called 'models,' they're not the best
people to model yourself after. I like to encourage girls to think, which is
why I put that on my butt," Wilson said. "It's really about what's
up here [pointing to her head], and
not what's here [pointing to her bum]."
As for the leather pants covering her bum, those clocked in
at a reasonable $49.95, which is a price we can all…get behind. (Cosmopolitan)
