The relationship between one of our favorite beauty brands and one of our favorite British designers has been brewing behind the scenes for some time — but now, NARS and Christopher Kane are finally going public. After doing the makeup for his runway show for the past six seasons, the cosmetic company has announced the launch of the Christopher Kane for NARS summer 2015 collection, its first ever fashion collaboration featuring products for eyes, lips, and cheeks.
Kane and NARS make total sense — they both have an affinity for bold hues and their woman is someone who likes to make a statement without taking herself too seriously. (Hey, that sounds like us.) Both brands also like to play with sexual innuendo. We’re sure you’re familiar with NARS' Orgasm blush — pretty much everyone's fave. Kane likes to get a little cheeky, too. For fall 2015, he sent his models down the runway wearing a print of intertwined naked bodies and sheer lace that he said represented "the current of an electric orgasm." Wowza.
TMI or not, we're super-excited for the 10-piece collection featuring NARS’ iconic product combined with Kane’s signature color palette of neon brights and classic neutrals. Plus, there will be a new blush and illuminating multiple formula that has only been used at the Christopher Kane spring/summer 2015 runway show.
