Last night, we said see ya later to the Empire cast following the season 1 finale of the breakout show. Unfortunately, that means we won't be seeing the smart, sexy and straight-up sassy Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) for, well, hopefully not too long. Still, an absence from our small screens doesn't mean we can't continue to apply her badass style and contagious confidence to our everyday lives.
We learned a lot from Cookie this season. Like how to tell the truth no matter what, or why one should rock leopard print and white fur simultaneously, and that family always comes first. Sure, she makes mistakes, but she owns them.
Cookie knows. Cookie slays. Here's to sharp words and hip sways that keep us real every day.
