Kylie Jenner Doesn’t Live To Be A Role Model

There are celebrities that are in the public eye, and then there's the Kardashian-Jenners. The reality television family has redefined what it means to be reality stars. From beauty lines, to the (not-so) simple act of growing up, they've turned it into a business, and the youngest member, Kylie Jenner, will be the first to tell you about the pressures. "Having a reality TV show, everyone feels like they know you," the 17-year-old revealed in a new interview with Fault magazine, "but that's only 10% of my life." Of course, what's broadcast on her family's E! program doesn't show her life in full, but between social media updates, the paparazzi, and tabloids, filling in the behind-the-scenes details isn't that difficult. But, it does come with its consequences — namely screwing up. "People are going to judge you no matter what you do," Jenner told the magazine. "I definitely always feel pressure to act a certain way, but I try my best not to let it affect me." Being a role model doesn't interest the youngest Jenner. She understands the world is watching, but that doesn't mean she isn't going to screw up. Jenner admits she "never [feels] pressure to be a good role model. I always try to do my best to inspire people to be good and do the right thing, but I just can’t live my life always trying to be a good role model." Jenner isn't the first female celebrity to shrug off the title. Rihanna has gone on record to say she doesn't want to bow to the pressures of being a role model. Many have slammed Miley Cyrus for being a terrible one, but she believes she's doing no harm. "We're all human," Jenner adds. "I just like to live each day and just be me and be real."
