Over the weekend, Witherspoon was waltzing down the Academy Awards red carpet in custom Tom Ford. Fast-forward a few days, and she’s wearing a sweater from a mall store your mom loves (just like she did a few months ago). And, not just any sweater, but a navy crewneck with three-quarter sleeves covered in little, red hearts. You’d probably peg Talbots as a mainstay for suburbanites, not Oscar nominees. Truthfully, you’d only be half wrong. But, Witherspoon’s outfit — elevated with retro Nikes, cropped Goldsign jeans, and an Anya Hindmarsh bucket bag — just goes to show that with a little digging, you can find gems at unexpected stores.
