Now that awards season has reached its dramatic (and largely predictable) conclusion, we’re left with a certain emptiness. No, we’re not longing for another song-and-dance number or a trophy of our own. This emptiness can only be filled with...an appointment at the salon.
Between the Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards, Academy Awards, and even the Grammys, there’s been so much beauty inspiration packed into the last couple of months. (No offense, Emmys, but an awards show in August? Get with the times.) With every red-carpet pre-show, our makeup and nail-polish shopping lists got longer and longer.
But, anyone can buy Margot Robbie’s fabulous orange-red lipstick from the Oscars or Jennifer Aniston’s Bordeaux gel polish from the SAG Awards (she didn’t do the Mani Cam, but trust us, it was Bordeaux). Being truly inspired by red-carpet beauty means making changes to your hair. And, there were plenty of looks that had us using the office printer to have something to bring to our stylists. (Yes, the color printer. Please don’t tell on us.)
