Super Bowl XLIX won't be a day Katy Perry will soon forget. Not because she performed her heart out in a thrilling halftime show or because it marked a major career milestone. Nope. It's because yesterday's big game is literally etched into her skin for all eternity — or, you know, laser tattoo removal.

The pop star commemorated her NFL moment with a tattoo. She could have gone with a robotic cat, Missy Elliott's face, or Tom Brady's jersey number, but Perry likes to keep it simple. "XLIX" is inked on what appears to be the middle finger on her right hand — right next to Hello Kitty.

"Thought it would be appropriate to draw blood tonight," Perry wrote alongside a photo of her getting inked while clad in fur.

She's earned the ink. Now it's time to take a spa day.
