Ah, the life of Young Hollywood! Just last week, singer-actress Selena Gomez posted a sultry, duck-face, wet-hair selfie (aptly hashtagged #face), with long, cascading locks that went well past her collarbone. 1.5 million people liked that photo, in case you were wondering.
And, now, mere hours ago, Ms. Gomez released yet another selfie — this time posed in front of her laptop with large, mirrored sunglasses on, revealing...a long, layered bob. So far, 698,000 people have already liked this new picture, which we can only guess means that there's a giant Internet stamp of approval on her new chop.
To be fair, we count ourselves among those double-tapping. Selena has been eclipsed by headlines that have far less to do with her new music or acting gigs (she's currently filming The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving with Paul Rudd), and much more to do with her love life. Perhaps this haircut, as it often does, symbolizes a fresh start and a change of heart.
Or, perhaps it's for the role. Only her future selfies will reveal the truth.
