Gwyneth Paltrow & Jimmy Fallon Give “Anaconda” A Broadway Makeover

On last night's Tonight Show, we learned that Gwyneth Paltrow's anaconda doesn't — but in the most upbeat and jazzy way possible. She was the latest celeb to take a turn playing lounge singer to Jimmy Fallon's piano man. Unfortunately, we weren't treated to a Duets sequel (people don't forget). Instead, Paltrow and Fallon focused on giving major makeovers to a genre that's often overlooked by lounge performers: hip-hop. With Fallon on the keys, Paltrow put a Broadway spin on Drake's "Started From the Bottom," Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda," and Big Sean's "I Don't Fuck With You." In between numbers, they did some of the usual lounge singer and accompanist patter. Could this signal a career change for Paltrow? She already has an Oscar and and Emmy. With half an EGOT on her mantel, she could be eying a trod across the boards on the Great White Way. Her anaconda definitely wants some of that. If we're being honest, though, she probably doesn't want any buns. Gluten and all that jazz.
