This year's Super Bowl Halftime Show is going to be even more glittery and glam than we first imagined. In addition to her own sparkly pop power, Katy Perry is bringing on a genuine rock-star-turned-Hunger Games stylist: Lenny Kravitz.
"My first special guest is going to be an incredible rock n roll icon, a guitar god," Perry told Today's Willie Geist of Kravitz during the Ravens-Patriots game on Saturday night. "He's got so much style. He's the coolest. He's the king of cool. He's going to make me so much cooler that day."
Will Kravitz give us his best "Roar"? Will Perry transition "California Gurls" into "American Woman"? "We are in the process of working it out," Perry said of the set list. And of course we can surmise that her careful wording that Kravitz is her "first" guest hints that even more surprises are on the way.
We can only hope that her people come through on the edible glitter and Pegasus she requests in this teaser video.
The Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show takes place after all the good ads and some football playing in Phoenix, Arizona, on NBC, Sunday, February 1.
