There's a reason they call her Queen. Despite her show being cancelled, Queen Latifah is dipping into her own savings to make sure her laid-off staff still has a merry Christmas.
According to E! News, the talk show host will pay her crew using her own money through the holidays. That's a lot of presents.
The staff got word just a month ago that they would be out of a job when it was announced that The Queen Latifah Show was set to halt production.
"Your dedication and sacrifice was crucial to the entire team, and in the face of intense challenges, you displayed 'True Grit'!" Latifah wrote her Facebook page. "Thank you for your strong work ethic and great effort in getting The Queen Latifah Show off the ground and running."
The moving letter to her staff went on to praise their hard work and dedication, and finished by saying: "The most important thing in life is that you wake up every single day and take chances. No matter what the outcome…believe in yourself and continue to fly."
