However, if there’s someone who can change our perception of what basic means, it’s NYC conceptual artist Angela Campos. In collaboration with Memphis Workshop, Campos has created the ultimate "Basic Bitch Gift Guide" to shed a more positive light on the phenomenon.
Spoiler: UGGs do make an appearance. But, no matter your personal footwear preference, there’s no way you won’t swoon for the guide's colorful and irreverent photos.
Among the stereotypical trademarks are oversized watches and perfectly groomed manis, plus more subtly humorous details such as YOLO tattoos and what looks like a lighter from the infamous nightclub Pacha, just to name a few.
