There was a time when, after the ceremony, wedding dresses were stuck in a garment bag and relegated to a lifetime of moldering in the back of the closet. But, a new breed of bride believes in getting a little more wear out of her big-day dress.
Today, The Big Bang star Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting took to her Instagram to show off her wedding dress' second outing. The Daily Mail reports that Cuoco-Sweeting previously wore the baby-pink Vera Wang gown when she wed tennis player Ryan Sweeting last New Year's Eve. This time, she wore the dress while filming a music video by Aloe Blacc to promote her new movie The Wedding Ringer.
Cuoco-Sweeting follows in the wedding dress-recycling footsteps of Keira Knightley, who wore her Chanel dress "lots of times" prior to being married in it in May 2013 — and, she continued to wear it until a red-wine stain took it out of her regular rotation.
We're way into women being just a little less precious about their wedding gowns. After all, if you truly love a dress, wearing it out (wine stains and all) sure beats letting it gather dust. (The Daily Mail)
