J.K. Rowling's been working her butt off lately — those three screenplays aren't going to write themselves, you know — so it's only fitting that she have her own Treat Yo' Self moment. And, because she's J.K. Rowling, she's treating herself to her very own Hagrid Hut. (We'd have gone for the Firebolt 6, but to each her own.)
The author has had her plans to build a stone-built summerhouse on her 19th-century Scottish estate approved by the local council.
Plans for the summerhouse bear a striking resemble to the hut owned by Hogwarts gameskeeper, Rubeus Hagrid. Presumably, Rowling won't use the space to house dragons or serve seriously inedible snacks.
In our fantasies, it also has a guest room where we can sleep whenever we feel like staying up all night talking about our favorite Draco Malfoy memes with Rowling. If the Dursleys could take in Harry, surely she could take in us? (Daily Mail)
