Just before midnight last night, Smith released "Blue Ocean." It's kind of like the audiobook version of Smith's journal. According to his Twitter, he chose to release the track because it wouldn't make the cut for "the album." What album? It doesn't matter.
The track samples Justin Timberlake's "Blue Ocean Floor," a collection of miscellaneous sounds, and the many levels of the teen's changing voice. But, there are moments that feature an enjoyable beat and plenty of angst-ridden lyrics that happen to be perfect for a rainy day. (BuzzFeed)
