But, as she tends to do, Jemima Kirke just pooh-poohed all over that theory. The Girls star rocked her cotton-candy dye job to the opera. That's right: Pink hair has left the fringes.
And, Jemima's color wasn't even brand-new. She switched to the unicorn hue about two weeks ago, but didn't touch it up pre-opera. Attending one of the (arguably) stuffiest of cultural events with faded-pastel hair that would fit in right at Coachella — and your roots showing? Quelle horreur!
Jemima makes it work in a huge way: Her golden-blonde strands look ultra playful alongside the Pepto pink. And, it sends the message that pastels are becoming more and more accepted in conservative situations. Who knows — rainbow hair may eventually be "normal" enough for your fancy investment-bank job. Wouldn't that rock?
