This Perfect New Meme Reminds Us Of Drake’s Humble Beginnings

The last time we saw Drake bound to a chair, he was geting the Anaconda treatment in Nicki Minaj's raunchy video. You may have seen it once or twice.
If he looked oddly comfortable, that's because before Drake became a rap god, he was an actor known for his prodigious chair-sitting abilities as the wheelchair-bound Jimmy on the cult Canadian tween series Degrassi: The Next Generation. While most of the world might have forgotten about Drake's wholesome past, his native Toronto never will.
Now, two Torontonians are making sure the rest of us don't forget, either: Blogger Lauren O'Neil and her boyfriend have been running amok in The Big Smoke/T-Dot/Hogtown/The Six (in case you couldn't tell, this writer is from Toronto) by plastering pictures of Drake's smiling visage on handicapped wheelchair signs all over town. What started as a gag for locals has exploded into a full-blown viral meme, and what's a good meme without a catchy name? Ladies and gentlemen, this is "Draking."
So, what are you waiting for? Head to your local sticker-making shop (to be found in the sticker district, duh) and start Draking!
Do it for Drake. Do it for yourself. But, most importantly, do it for Jimmy.
Click through get your Drake on.
